到片末那一段獨白，實足令為評者鑑介：
"In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face is that, in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is more meaningful than our criticism designating it so. But there are times when a critic truly risks something, and that is in the discovery and defense of the new."
從很多方面來說，做評論的真是十分容易。只要用些微的代價，評論者就能夠讓輕易地，騎在那些有付出過被評者的頭上。寫一篇負面的評述，固然可以令到筆者和讀者同樣感到極之過癮；但是作為一個批評者，必先要認清一個殘酷的事實：就是在整體上而言，無論那些被評的東西再爛也好，總比起咱們的評論來得有意義。不過，當一位評論者當要守護一些被發掘的新事物時，也是他真正要付出的時候。
